How to cut a hole in a glass Grey Goose bottle?

Dan asked:

Interested in turning my old Grey Goose bottles into a lamp, (maybe a bong). I have a great old rotary tool and wondering if a carbide bit would work instead of a diamond bit? I went to home depot and lowes and they DONT CARRY DIAMOND BITS! Also, how fast or slow should i go? How much pressure? Use water lubricant ok?
